At the "HSBC SVNS World Championship Bordeaux" held from June 5th (Fri) to 7th (Sun)
Tomoyo Suda (Sumitomo Electric Industries) and Natsuki Ouchida (Sumitomo Riko) participated in the competition.
Suda served as captain for all six tournaments throughout the series.
The Sakura Sevens finished in 7th place in this tournament, concluding their 2026 season.
Furthermore, we have secured a place in the top 8 based on the overall points earned from the three World Championships, guaranteeing our continued participation in HSBC SVNS 1 (Division 1) next season.

After starting in third place at the Dubai competition, it was a tough season as I struggled to improve my ranking. However, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the fans who continued to support me no matter the circumstances, as well as to the company, sponsors, and everyone involved who kindly sent me off.
Personally, I had the opportunity to serve as captain in six tournaments, which allowed me to learn and gain a lot of experience. While I felt I was growing with each tournament, this season also made me realize that there are still many areas where I need to improve.
I will definitely use this experience to improve and grow into a player who can contribute to the team. I will continue to work hard to become a player who can contribute to the team's goal of winning the Taiyo Life Women's Sevens Series overall championship for PEARLS.

For me, the World Series was a first-time experience of traveling the world for competitions, allowing me to feel the global level firsthand, confront my own weaknesses, and grow as a player.
